Falkirk is a town located in the Central Lowlands of Scotland, historically part of Stirlingshire. Situated in the Forth Valley, Falkirk is approximately 23.5 miles (38 km) northwest of Edinburgh and 20.5 miles (33 km) northeast of Glasgow. With a population of 34,570 as of 2008, Falkirk ranks as the 20th most populous settlement in Scotland and serves as the main town and administrative center of the Falkirk council area, which has a total population of 156,800. The town is strategically positioned at the junction of the Forth and Clyde and Union Canals, a critical factor in its development as a hub for heavy industry during the Industrial Revolution.
In the painting and decorating industry good preparation is imperative. This can not be emphasised enough when attempting to get the best results on a project. Any tradespeople who avoid this important stage in the process are clearly in the wrong profession. Inexperienced painters and decorators can often overlook important things such as knotting or sealing walls before lining them. This means that they will never get a long lasting finish and good quality job that lots of knowledge and experience can bring.
