Aberfoyle is a picturesque village located in the historic and registration county of Perthshire, now part of the council area of Stirling, Scotland. Situated 27 miles (43 kilometres) northwest of Glasgow, Aberfoyle lends its name to the surrounding parish, which had a population of 1,065 according to the 2011 census. Nestled on the banks of the River Forth and at the base of Craigmore, a mountain standing 387 m (1,270 ft) tall, Aberfoyle has become an essential gateway to the Trossachs and Loch Katrine. The village gained prominence in 1885 when the Duke of Montrose built a road over Craigmore, later known as the Duke's Road or Duke's Pass, providing an alternative route for travelers. This scenic road was opened to the public in 1931 after the Forestry Commission took over the management of the land.
In the painting and decorating industry good preparation is imperative. This can not be emphasised enough when attempting to get the best results on a project. Any tradespeople who avoid this important stage in the process are clearly in the wrong profession. Inexperienced painters and decorators can often overlook important things such as knotting or sealing walls before lining them. This means that they will never get a long lasting finish and good quality job that lots of knowledge and experience can bring.
