Bridge of Allan, commonly referred to as Bofa, is a charming former spa town located in the Stirling council area of Scotland, just north of Stirling city. Nestled on the banks of Allan Water, a northern tributary of the River Forth, it is beautifully set against the backdrop of the National Wallace Monument and the well-wooded slopes of the Westerton and Airthrey estates. The town enjoys natural protection from the Ochil Hills, which shield it from northern and eastern winds. Most of Bridge of Allan lies to the east of the river, with the iconic bridge forming part of the A9, Scotland’s longest road. The railway line and the M9 motorway run to the west of the river, providing convenient access. The Bridge of Allan railway station is on the electrified Edinburgh to Dunblane Line, making travel easy, with trains from Stirling taking less than five minutes, and connections to London available in under six hours.
In the painting and decorating industry good preparation is imperative. This can not be emphasised enough when attempting to get the best results on a project. Any tradespeople who avoid this important stage in the process are clearly in the wrong profession. Inexperienced painters and decorators can often overlook important things such as knotting or sealing walls before lining them. This means that they will never get a long lasting finish and good quality job that lots of knowledge and experience can bring.
