Alloa, is a town located in Clackmannanshire, Central Lowlands of Scotland. Situated on the north bank of the Forth, it marks the transition point where the river transforms into the Firth of Forth. Nestled south of the Ochil Hills on the western Fife peninsula, Alloa lies approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Stirling and 13 miles (20.9 km) west of Dunfermline, while being 25 miles (40 km) by water from Granton. Historically a burgh of barony, Alloa serves as the administrative hub of Clackmannanshire Council. Its economy once flourished on trade through its port with Glasgow and mainland Europe, but the port ceased operations in 1970. Today, the local economy focuses on retail and leisure, with only one brewer and one glassmaker remaining. Once linked parochially with Tullibody, Alloa has grown to be twice the size of its north-western neighbor. The estimated population of Alloa in 2016 was around 20,730 residents. The town's history is marked by the presence of Alloa Tower, believed to date back to before 1300 AD, and its name has evolved over time, appearing as Alway in a charter from King Robert the Bruce in 1315.
In the painting and decorating industry good preparation is imperative. This can not be emphasised enough when attempting to get the best results on a project. Any tradespeople who avoid this important stage in the process are clearly in the wrong profession. Inexperienced painters and decorators can often overlook important things such as knotting or sealing walls before lining them. This means that they will never get a long lasting finish and good quality job that lots of knowledge and experience can bring.
