The Grange is Edinburgh’s most coherent Victorian villa estate — mid-to-late nineteenth-century detached and semi-detached family villas set in broad streets behind hedge-and-wall plot boundaries. Grange Road, Grange Loan, Dick Place and Lauder Road form the heritage core; Findhorn Place and Hatton Place carry the slightly later phase. Almost all the stock is Grade B or Grade C listed in the Grange Conservation Area.
