Gullane, Dirleton and Drem are the heart of East Lothian’s golf coast — some of the most desirable village addresses in Scotland. Gullane has substantial Edwardian and inter-war villas built around the links at Muirfield; Dirleton is a tightly protected conservation village ranged around its green and castle; Drem and the lanes between them hold farmhouses and country homes. It is affluent, exacting, and much of it is listed or in a conservation area.
We handle period interior decoration, exterior work, sash-window repainting and heritage finishes for exactly this kind of property. Same foreman from first visit to final walk-round, daily clean-up, and a fixed quote before we start.

ABOUT GULLANE, DIRLETON & DREM
The heart of the golf coast.
Gullane, Dirleton and Drem sit at the centre of East Lothian’s golf coast, a run of affluent villages around Muirfield and the links. Gullane is villa country; Dirleton is one of Scotland’s prettiest conservation villages, ranged around a green and a medieval castle; Drem and the surrounding lanes are farm and country property. Much of it is listed or protected, and standards are high.
We have decorated across these villages since 1959. CHAS, SDF and PDA accredited, with the period and listed-building specialism the area demands and the same foreman from quote to final inspection.

We can. Dirleton is tightly protected, so we use breathable systems, match the conservation palette, and handle the listed-building consent paperwork.
I own a second home here — can you manage the job remotely?

Where are you based, and is there a travel charge?
Our HQ is in Edinburgh and we have served East Lothian since 1959. The golf coast is a regular run — no separate travel charge, and the quote is the price.
How quickly can you start?
Usually four to six weeks for residential work; listed work adds consent lead time, which we manage. We confirm the date when we quote.
